Upgrade to Windows10, can't see SD-Channels

You got a problem with video-decoding. If video codecs aren’t installed in your PC anymore, you can download at www.chip.de . Search for “codec-pack”.

After installation the TV-application normally gets the codec automaticly. If you don’t get a picture you have to change the codecs in the options “Renderer”.

Please disable the installation of other searching tools in your browser, while you install the codecs.

Why are there faults in the picture (HD)?

Fault is in the decoder.

You should update to the latest AMD/ATI driver version. Alternativly you can use an external graphic card.

How long takes it to switch the channel? (Changeover time)

That depends on many factors (eg. decoder, TV-application, and so on). Normally between 0,7 and 1,5 seconds.

All channels are listed as radio channel

No HD-channels

DVB-T2 - Digital terrestrial tv germany

Our cards support DVB-T and is also suited for DVB-T2. But you only receive unencrypted, free channels. Privat channels encrypt the contents.

Please inform yourself about the DVB-T2 receiving situation in your area.

To receive DVB-T2 you need an H.265 software decoder which is not in our delivery. The software which we recommend, support T2 with free codecs. Information to codecs you can find in “Information about codecs”.

Information about codecs

You need codecs to encode and decode signals. Codecs are provided from your operating system, but eg. Microsoft does not include codecs anymore since Windows 8. Thats why you have to install them manually. For SD-channels you need MPEG2/H.264, for HD-Sender MPEG4/H.265.

Single-, Twin-, Quad- and Quattro-LNB

Universal-Single-LNB

A simple LNB, for Low- and High-Band of satellite frequencies and for one digital receiver.

Twin-LNB

LNB with two outputs, for Low- and High-Band of satellite frequencies, and for two digital receivers or a Twin-Receiver. Twin-Receiver: has two receiving inputs

Quad-LNB

LNB with four outputs for up to four digital receivers. Integrated or special multi switch.

Quattro-LNB

LNB with four outputs for different levels of frequencybands. Needs multi switch

Where are HD-Channels, like Das Erste HD and ZDF HD in Windows Media-Center?

You have to do a manuel channel search with relevant transponder

To receive Das Erste HD and ZDF HD go to “Tasks / Options / TV / TV-Signal / Satellitetransponder-search

Choose the option Searching for determinded transponder. For Das Erste HD set frequenca “11362” MHz and symbolrate “22000”, polarisation “horizontal” and scan.

To find more channels, start a new channelsearch.

No HD-Channels in Windows Media-Center

Control panel -> System and safety -> Management -> Services

Perhaps for “Windows Media Center receiving service” too

If any channel is lost, it could depend on the database. You can test it, if you set 00000 at postcode. You should configure the channellist and note channels which are lost.
